How to Super Charge your Literature Search with AI
It takes time to find relevant literature, identify common concepts, and extract data for your research project.
It takes a significant amount of time to locate relevant literature for your research project, figure out common concepts, and extract data. All of this is possible in minutes with the new Elicit.
The new version of Elicit will assist you in completing all of these tasks in a matter of minutes. It will save you a significant amount of time as well as effort. Using the new Elicit comes down to the following steps:
You can access your account by going to elicit.com and logging in there. The old Elicit was at Simply type in your inquiry, and Elicit will provide a synopsis of the four most relevant papers. Additionally, it will provide you with a list of relevant papers, each of which will have a one-line summary of the abstract that accompanies it.
After you have compiled a list of relevant papers, select the option to "Add Columns" from the menu. You have the option of either creating a column or using the options that are available. If you add the "Intervention" column to the list, Elicit will display the intervention that was performed on each paper that is included in the list. Quite a handy function overall.
If you click the "Filters" button, you will also have the option to filter the search results. The Reviews, Meta-Analyses, and Systematic Reviews that were published between 2005 and 2023 are currently being filtered here. It is a very helpful feature for conducting a literature search that is more narrowly focused.
You can also have data extracted for you by using Elicit. To extract data from PDFs, click the "Extract data from PDFs" button, and then upload any relevant documents. After that, choose the papers, and then proceed to click on "Columns." Choose the parameters that you would like Elicit to use in order to extract the data. You will have the pertinent data in a matter of seconds as well.
Here you GO to watch it!
